Scene- Placing his hand gently over his face.
“Titan…”

And the Mercy at his chest.

He whispers in his ear.
(Fade back.)
A dimly lit giant empty hall.
Walking towards him in stunned disbelief.
Lois- “Clark?”
Seen distantly in the dark hunched over.
Fade slowly.
A surprise birthday party.
The lights come on as everyone leaps from cover.
In unisom- “Surprise!!!”
Clark- “Whoa! Ha! Wow..”
Holding two brown bags of groceries.
His eyes meet Lois’ as everything slows.
He smiles and laughs silently shaking his head placing the groceries on the floor.
She smiles back.
Fade slowly and past the party out the window through the city streets.
(Fortress)
Glancing sideways.
Straining to see.
Lois- “Is that you?”
Disbelief.
Lois- “Oh god.”
Lois- “No.”
Lois- “I watched you die.”
Shaking her head.
Lois- “No…”

Turning away.

Scene from above into his eyes.

The scene slows.

Kneeling over a dead body turning his head slowly towards the camera.

Floating in the blackness of the center core of the ice palace.

Smoke streams from his eyes.

Slowly closing in on a giant planet.
A highly advanced utopian civilization.
Densly populated, in close orbit to it’s sun.
“We now know that an Alien Starship crashed on our world a week ago.”

(Scene) Humanoids, aliens, machines.
Day to day life.
Floating- “The Sole Survivor has laid waste to half our city.”
(Crash landing.)
“Our armies have been unable to stop this monster.”

(Smoldering ash.)
(A massive fist breaking through the rubble.)
(Stumbling from the ruins, glancing from side to side.)

She buries her head in her lap as the Nurse attemps to console her wraping a blanket around her where she’s seated.

A wave of Lanterns in flight.
Approaching.

Blood leaking from the corner of the mouth.

Downtown Metropolis- The Daily Planet in ruins.

Covered in blood.

The monster is seen missing a limb torn to pieces in the wreckage.

The scene opens as she cries out to the sky.

Kent farm.
Vast open fields.
A beautiful sunny day.

A young boy runs into the middle of the field.
Prison from above.
(Solitary) Luthor- “There is only one.”
He stops and looks around.

Without hesitation the Guardian tears at his own chest.
Magnificent rays of light pour from beyond.

His arm trembles as he violently closes the other hand into a fist and glares up as he speaks.
Mongul- “Look what I’ve reduced him to.”
(Flash)
A black hole forms in the light.
Flash to harvest.
A hellish landscape.
(The Black Mercy)
Mongul- “It will fufill your heart’s deepest desire.”
Wading through dark waters.

The monster is seen falling to earth from above.
Upside down.
Laughing.
(Floating) Clark- “Luthor?”

Turning his head.

Heat waves form mid battle.

Mongul- “See how peaceful he looks?”
Standing over his victim who is lying on a crystal bed, flat on his back. The Black Mercy attached to his chest.
Lois- “Monster..”
Caressing his face.
Lois- “You monster!!”
Mongul- “Now now..”
Mongul- “Shh, shh”
Mongul- “He feels no pain here.”
Mongul- “Would you like to see?”
Slowly presses his his fingers around his face.
Lois- “Get off him!”
Instant despair.
Lois- “Please stop…”
She reaches for something suddenly.
Downtown Metropolis (Doomsday)
Red lights lift him into the sky.
(Floating) Lois- “They don’t understand you.”
He follows into the sky.
(Floating) Lois- “You gave them everything.”
A supernova pulses in the distance.
Growing in size.
Engulfing everything.
(Floating) Lois- “I won’t let them take you from me.”
Within the Fortress walls.
The massive Mongul stumbles backwards clutching at his throat. Blood spills from between his fingers.
Standing over the bed.
She reaches for his chest where the plant has attached itself.
Cut / Flash
Close in on his face beaded in sweat.
His eyes open as she crashes to earth.
Horrified.
Pulling upright from the crystal bed.
Clark- “Lois?”
Glancing from side to side.
Clark- “Oh god, you monster!!”
Turning towards the giant Mongul, still clutching at his neck.
Clark- “What have you done?”
Their eyes meet.
Stepping slowly towards him (blood leaking from his neck) the earth shakes.
Mongul- “I”
Mongul- “Have..”
Mongul- “Freed, your mind.”
Pointing.
Mongul- “She too is now free.”
Mongul- “Then I will kill you.”
Clark- “Monster!!”
The Fortress walls tremble as they collide.
Collumns crumble as the scene opens, pulling back.
A cloud of terrified Neonmoths boils beneath the distant ceiling, shrieking with human voices.
Having laid waste to the giant, he looks down at Lois, laying on the crystal bed, the plant having attached itself to her chest.
Desperately.
Clark- “Lois,”
Clark- “no…”
Clark- “Oh god.”
Looking around in horror.
Standing over the slain Giant, he reaches for the gauntlet on it’s hand.
Downtown Metropolis (Doomsday).
Twin (Lois)- “Clark help!”
Twin- “I can’t hold him off much longer!”
(Floating) Luthor- “The sub-basement..”
(Floating) Luthor- “it’s there.”
He drops to his knees as he places the crystal around his neck.
His aura glows a putrid green as he slowly rises to one knee.
His eys fill red with blood instantly as his hair loses color.
Balling his hands into fists, he arches his head back as he calls out in pain and crashes violently through the celing.
Twin- “Clark..”
Twin- “Help me!”
The monster has his fist raised above her as he appears.
(Earth Prime)
(Flash)
He tears the plant from her chest with the gauntlet, placing it within a prizm.
Beside the corpse.
Her eyes light up as they open suddenly.
Lois- “Clark?”
Sitting up she reaches for him as he helps her stand.
Labored breathing.
They embrace tightly.
Heaving for air.
Terrified.
Pressing her forehead against his she takes a deep slow breath.
Sheer desperation.
Lois- “Is it..”
Lois- “Is it really you?”
Everything slows.
He simply nods.
And closes his eyes.
Clark- “Yes.”
Then meets hers.
Clark- “It’s me…”
Lois- “Oh god!”
She cries as they kiss.
Hitting him on the chest with her right fist.
Lois- “Don’t you ever leave me!”
Pulling back slowly as they embrace.
Draws into black.
“Happy birthday handsome.”
An asteroid is seen drifting off into space from a distance.
