CHOSEN FEATURE FILMS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

A simple format that any family can enjoy, it's time to film short feature films starring kids. Submissions for 'The Death Of A Salesman' are being accepted up to november 11th 2025 and may be featured on Hello World TV.

Based on the American Tragedy this account of the story is suitable for children.


CAST:

Willy Lowman [The Salesman]

Biff Lowman [The Son]

Mrs Lowman [The Wife]

Sarge [Local Police Captain]


Plot: An ageing Salesman (Willy Lowman) loses hope in his ability to support his family as their refrigerator slowly falls to disrepair and he is unable to pay to have it repaired or replaced. His son Biff refuses to take part in his father's declining business and Mr Lowman decides to leave his family as he cannot put any money together.

Set: A room from 1949.

Wardrobe: Suit and Tie / Formal Wear Dress / Costume 1 / Business Suit

THE DEATH OF A SALESMAN

SCENE ONE:

Willy Lowman enters the family livingroom shaking his head and puts his hands on his hips closing his eyes-

Willy Lowman- “I been over it a thousand times and I’ll tell you what, this darn work is gonna be the end of me!”

His Wife is standing by the wall-

Mrs Lowman- “Honey, don’t do this to yourself again…” [she hesitates] “..Don’t do this to us…”

Willy Lowman- [Ignoring her] “Where is that no good kid of ours?” [Waving his hand sideways as if pushing the thought away] “Nevermind, it doesn’t even matter. He’s a good for nothing anyway-“

Mrs Lowman- [Holding her arm outstretched with her palm open she’s shaking her head] “No! not that again. Don’t place everything on our son. On my son.”

Willy heads for the door silently enraged-

Willy Lowman- [Grumbling under his breath] “Your son? That’s why he’s such a no-good…”

Mrs Lowman cuts him off-

Mrs Lowman- “Now just you wait a second. It’s like you can’t even hear a word that I said to you ever, and besides that we have big problems that you have to take care of. Don’t you just try and push all these problems away like they are just going to disappear.”
